Läuft alles? Hab mir grad die TWRP App geladen und wollte auch noch eben aktualisieren, bevor ich dann weiter mit TWRP rumspiele

Bei mir läuft zumindest das Backup, alles natürlich nicht getestet.

Installiert...aber....es will ein Passwort um die Datenpartition einzuhängen da ich keins vergeben hab, weiß ich auch nix

War vorher schon TWRP drauf?
Bei der ersten Installation von TWRP musste ich die DATA - Partition formatieren.
Ist die angezeigte Größe der Partition =0,dann ist sie verschlüsselt.
Vielleicht gibt es schon eine andere Lösung, außer formatieren.

Hatte die 3.0.2.3. drauf vorher. Bin jetzt wieder zurück auf die. Daten alle verfügbar und keine Passwortabfrage. Keine Ahnung warum die neue auf einmal zicken macht.

Poste die Frage mal hier rein, obwohl TWRP ja eigentlich nicht geräteunabhängig ist, oder doch?

Hatte für Redmi Note 3 Kate lange gesucht und schließlich ein modifiziertes TWRP gefunden. Ist das denn richtig, dass Kate ein anderes TWRP als Kenzo benötigt?

Laut der TWRP Seite ist das TWRP für beide Geräte. Der Unterschied besteht ja nur im Band 20 und ist für TWRP nicht relevant.

So wie Thommy es schreibt. (hier wäre die neuste Version 3.1.0-0)

Wobei es noch die modifizierten TWRP von ZCX gibt, die auch für beide ist, aber es zwei downloads teilweise gibt.

Hatte da ein "3.02-X by BY~XM 20161230" gefunden und installiert.

Das müsste die ZCX TWRP von BY~XM aus dem MIUI China Forum sein, soweit ich das jetzt gecheckt habe und tatsächlich für beide Geräte sein. Soll OTA incremental update support haben.
